A "blingless" MVP was shown looking depressed in the ring, he got on the mic and said "Let's get this over with already". A debuting Kizarny came out and defeated MVP with an underhook rollup after MVP missed a Playmaker on "The Carnival Freak". After the match, Mr. Kennedy came out and said that it sucks MVP lost and that he should check out his new movie; Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia which hits stores January 6th. He says that it's embarrassing how MVP comes out every week and loses. Kennedy says he is trying to inspire MVP to stop losing. MVP gets mad. The ring crew comes in and takes away the furniture. Kennedy makes fun saying that it's being repossessed and that things can be worse. The Boogeyman comes out from under the ring and slams MVP. MVP retreats. |

On the last Smackdown! of 2008, MVP fell victim to "The Punjabi Playboy" The Great Khali after delivering a devestating chokeslam to MVP for the three count. After the match, Mr. Kennedy came out and told Smackdown! ring announcer, Justin Roberts to hand MVP a mic to explain his reasoning for losing this week. MVP was unable to talk and Kennedy started mocking him. Kennedy plugged his "Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia" movie that is available on January 6th, 2009.     MVP and Shelton Benjamin were shown in the ring together waiting for their opponents - Hurricane Helms and R-Truth. MVP insisted that he started off first and almost got rolled up by Truth in the starting seconds of the match. Truth got some offence in using alot of armdrag takedowns until MVP had intentions of doing the Drive By Kick only to be tagged in by Benjamin. MVP was shown during the match demanding Shelton to tag him in. The end came when Truth threw MVP onto the outside and MVP came back in and accidently gave Benjamin a boot to the back of the head. Helms finished off with "The nightmare on Helm's street" while MVP was shown looking sad on the outside. MVP was shown backstage looking sad, Mr. Kennedy came in and said he feels bad for MVP. MVP asked him if he really meant it and Kennedy said of course, he has the new year coming up and he said that he think's things could get better for him if he just smiled and kept his chin up a little more. He says he thinks things could get better for him around January perhaps until MVP lashes out and says the only reason Kennedy came in here was to plug his movie and if he bought it, his whole life would change around and make things better. Kennedy says "Actually, no." and tells MVP to keep his chin up before wishing him a Merry Christmas from Mr. Kennedy..., as he was about to repeat it, MVP cut him off and told him this was his moment.
